Welcome to the Learning Hub 2.0

25 Feb

LearningHubWordCloud2

This learning hub is designed as a device to introduce and connect librarians to new technologies. Inspired by the 23 Things program developed by Helene Blowers, the self-directed nature of this program is meant to instill confidence in the participants as we all explore emerging tools and reflect on how they can transform our processes. Our background image is a USB hub, which provides ports to connect devices into other systems. Our goal is for this learning hub is to be a portal to which our learners can “plug in” and connect to new tools and technologies.

We invite you to look around the site to become familiar with some of the areas that we’ve set up for you. This page is our main page and can always be accessed by clicking on “Learning Hub 2.0.” Here you’ll find weekly announcements and program updates.

About Us tells you a little bit about the history of the 23 Things Program and about all of us.

Participant Blogs connects you to all of your colleagues’ blogs once you’ve  finished the Week One: Getting Started module.

Intro to Twitter is for those who may be new to Twitter.

Water Cooler is a place to share and reflect upon our experiences throughout the course of our learning.

On the right sidebar are links to the modules we’ll be covering, in order by week.

If you have any questions during the course of the program, please feel free to email us at learninghub2point0@gmail.com.

We look forward to working with you all as we explore all of the “things you (or I) might want to do this year!”
